Someone has my spare keys and is refusing to give them up upon request, is that considered auto theft or theft in general? I am the owner of the car, the loan for the car was taken out in my name, the money is coming out of my bank account, my name is signed for the title, and I do not appreciate someone having my spare keys and making copies of them. If you can state links stating the law in florida I would appreciate it along with a response. I paid for the whole thing they just co-signed on it, but thats just in case i can’t pay for it, it doesnt make the property theirs. I am paying for the bills. Co-sign is just protection for the bank. I’m 18 with a job in college.
